Who was Chandraswami ?
Chandraswami was used to call Indian Tantrik. He was born in Jain Family and his name was ‘ Nemichand Jain’. He was attracted towards the study of Tantra since his childhood. Even if he was born in Jain Family, he became devotee of ‘The Goddess Kali’. He learned and mastered the Tantric knowlegde and gained fame as a ‘Spiritual Guru’.
At the start, Chandraswami got fame due to his astrology predictions. But later, he became famous because of his close connection with Prime Minister Narsimha Rao. In 1991, as Narsimha Rao became the prime minister of India, Chandraswami built an ashram in Delhi. The land for Aashram allocated from ‘ Indira Gandhi’. Chandraswami said to be the spiritual advisor of all big filmmakers, politicians, businessmen, underworld don including Dawood Ibrahim too. He used to control everyone to make his own financial profit with the help of the current government of Narsimha Rao. Chandraswami also controlled the decisions of Harshad Mehta.

Chandra swami also used to advise ‘Harshad Mehta’ for any financial decision. He was the mediator between Harshad and Narsimha Rao. Harshad used to take the help of swami to raise funds from the government. Chandraswami repeatedly accused of financial irregularities activities. In 1996, swami arrested. Also, IT department raided his ashram and found proof against him.
Harshad‘s financial irregularities became a highlight in 1992. At the start, Chandra Swami helped Harshad Mehta. But later, he didn’t support him. Harshad wanted to contact PM Narsimha Rao to clean charges against him.PM Rao and Chandraswami both were involved in Harshad Mehta ‘s scam. PM funded him to invest the government’s money in stock. But, as soon as, scam busted, they started making the whole blame on a single man ‘Harshad Mehta’.
Harshad took press conference and exposed how he made this scam possible with the help of ‘Narsimha Rao’. Narsimha Rao rejected this claim saying ‘he never met Harshad Mehta’. Harshad’s action against current government made him in more trouble. Government agencies filed lots of cases against him and his family. In 1999, Harshad jailed in Thane and he died on 31st December 2001. There are also conspiracies that the reason behind Harshad’s death was not natural. It could be murder too.
